The RE Rocking Chair by Clément Diaz takes it’s design from looking at the past and more accurately the modernism of the 1920’s. By using metal and carbon fiber, a simple design of an industrial nature is created allowing the bottom to rock and the back to remain solid without support.
The kerf cuts allow the tubular metal to flex as well as form the curve.
The carbon fiber is impregnated with a resin to make it rigid and it to carry better weight.
