BuildingBlox is about anything that has to do with your home so I was recently introduced to The Comfortable Couch Company or CoCoCo (http://cococohome.com/) I thought I would also share what I found.

The company is based 19725 Oak Street, Suite 10 Cornelius, NC 28031 and their factory is in North Carolina too, which started to tell me that it might be American made. I like that as much as possible and I was right. They are produced in NC by American labor which is a definite plus.

These are quality handmade pieces.

“That’s what we’re all about. Anyone can build a great piece of furniture. All you need to do is use only the best quality materials available – including kiln dried American hardwood frames, high-end spring systems, down-filled cushions, quality leathers and fine fabrics. Other people can promise custom made-to-order furniture. That isn’t unheard of. And everyone knows a place where they can find something that won’t break their budget. Places like these aren’t surprising. What’s surprising is that we do all of the above, great furniture, custom made, and affordable. We use top quality materials to produce the exact piece you want – at affordable, factory direct pricing. The other guys just can’t say that.

Oh, and we’d mention that everything is all handmade in America too, but at that point we’d just be showing off.

We employ experienced cutters, sewers, and upholsterers with more than a century of combined experience. Our employees have trained and worked at some of the top American furniture companies such as Sherrill, Baker and Hancock and Moore. Where possible we select upholstery materials such as fabrics and leather that are produced here in America as well.”

CoCoCo is headed by Steven Sechrest and and his daughter Danielle and what they quickly found out is that American’s want quality furniture that can be custom made at prices that are better than many of the national houses offering similar pieces, made in China, at higher prices. They can produce a quality piece here in the US and be very competitive. I looked into this by checking some similar pieces from big brands and indeed they are much lower in price showing that they indeed can produce American made goods are better pricing.

They can work directly with customers allowing them to submit their choice of fabrics and they can have this built and shipped to you long before it could ever come from China. Oh and on top of that, you won’t be paying a premium price for that service.

I made this short movie to give you a quick glance at some of their offerings.

So lets see:
Totally customizable furniture.
100 % American made.
Quality workmanship and materials.
Better pricing than you would even have thought possible.

I’d say that if you are in the market for some new furniture, having a look at The Comfortable Couch Company- CoCoCo is well worth the effort which isn’t hard at all really. Here’s a list of ways that you can contact them or see their products and story.
